Grapefruit essential oil is the oil that is extracted from the peel of the grapefruit.  It is native to tropical Asia but is cultivated in warm sunny countries like California, Florida, and Cyprus.  Grapefruit is a top note oil, which means the fragrance is light, and distinctive, however, may not last long when blended with other top note oils.
