Neroli essential oil is extracted from the blossom of the orange tree. This gives it a very light, delicate orange citrus aroma – a beautiful fragrance that is added to many skincare preparations and perfumes and light enough that it pairs well with many other different essential oils and aromas. Neroli essential oil recipes
Neroli is a wonderful oil for many different issues, but benefits, the skin, the endocrine system, and the mind the most.
Super-charged anti-ageing facial oil
- 10ml Rosehip oil
- 10ml Argan oil
- 4 drop Neroli
- 3 drops Carrot seed
- 3 drops Patchouli
Rosehip and Argan oil are packed full of essential fatty acids and vitamins, so super nourishing for the skin. The addition of the essential oils gives this facial oil superpowers! Neroli is very good for dry and mature skin as it promotes new skin cell regeneration. Carrot seed essential oil is very nourishing to the skin and the more hydrated the skin is the younger it will look, and lines and wrinkles will appear less. Patchouli helps to bring new cells to the surface. So overall, cell renewal will be encouraged, the lower layers of the skin will become more hydrated and the skin will glow!
Nourishing & soothing facial oil
- 20ml Sweet almond oil
- 5 drops Neroli
- 5 drops Lavender
This oil will still pack a punch but uses less complicated ingredients. The neroli is great for dry and mature skin, while the lavender will soothe and calm skin irritations while hydrating the skin too.
Soothing cream for eczema & psoriasis
- 50ml plain skin cream
- 10 drops Neroli
- 10 drops Chamomile
- 10 drops Bergamot
An ideal cream to calm, soothe and heal skin irritations and disorders, such as eczema or psoriasis. All these are oils and calming, soothing, and healing for the skin, however, if the skin is particularly sensitive, always do a small patch test on the skin first. Try and use a very plain skin cream – the purer the better so that the benefits of the essential shine through and do not get altered by additional ingredients in the cream. Something like E45 or Cera Ve is a good choice.
Body oil for PMT & unbalanced hormones
- 100ml Sweet almond oil
- 10 drops Neroli
- 5 drops Mandarin
- 5 drops Geranium
Applying a body oil is an ideal way to relieve the symptoms of PMT or other hormone issues, as can be applied as needed. This oil can also be used in the bath. A 2014 study showed an improvement in menopause and hormone imbalance from the use of neroli oil. Mandarin and geranium are also effective at relieving symptoms of PMT and balancing hormones. Store your blended oil in an amber bottle, to keep the essential oils stable.
