The aromas of essential oils can be uplifting and intoxicating, and can be enough to put you in the mood for love and getting intimate with your partner.  However the oils work in different ways too. The molecules from the oils are inhaled through the nose and enter the body via the olfactory system.  This system is linked to the brain, so the scents can trigger feelings of love and romance and heighten our sexual desire and feelings of intimacy.

In addition to this, when the oils are applied to the skin, the molecules get absorbed into the blood stream and travel around the body to have an effect. In the case of essential oils for love and romance, they can help relax the body as a whole, clear the mind of other thoughts or worry, or more specifically, head to the reproductive systems to get things moving and working in that area!

While the aromas of the oil, can help to relax or uplift us, during intimate times together, the oils also have specific properties that can help increase desire, and improve sex.

Essential oils are the pure oils that are extracted from flowers, fruits, herbs, plants and tree’s.  Each oil has a unique chemical composition, which gives it specific therapeutic actions, on the mind, body and skin. The therapeutic actions we want to look for, for essential oils for love and romance are;

  • Ginger
  • Jasmine

Balancing – a balancing essential oil creates balance in emotions, or balances activity in the body.  This can be useful, if you are busy, feeling out of sorts, or feel too unsettled to be romantic or enjoy love making.

  • Lavender
